About Stephen
Metaphysics has been a central part of my life, even before I aware of it as a term and a field of study. As a child, I was obsessed with death, often laying on my bed with my eyes tucked in the nook of my arm, envisioning the void. It was around that time that I became aware that I could see auras. I struggled during most of my life being aware that I could see and perceive things that other people could not, that I could sense things that other people could not sense.
I believe that we are all psychically gifted, but society does its best to beat it out of us. We are forced to conform to society's expectations and in doing so, we subject ourselves to the reality of the masses. However, some of us have a strong sense to our inner connection and possess a self awareness that cannot be bullied into submission. I retreated into myself as a form of survival, and kept my true beliefs and ideas hidden from the majority of people.
It wasn't until 2020 when the world slowed down that I finally felt like I could catch a breath. I returned back to myself, and began reflecting back on my life. Memories that I had once forgotten began to surface, and I began the process of dealing with my the trauma and grief that I had delayed.
My education and work experience is in theoretical mathematics and statistics. Those less familiar with metaphysics may think it is strange that someone with such an education would be interested in tarot and astrology. However, look back in history, and you will find that the most famous mathematicians were also astrologers; the two subjects share an appreciation for the beauty of patterns, in cycles, and also in the discovery of underlying structures.
Since my teenage years, the tarot has been a useful tool that provided me solace, especially during difficult times. I use tarot as a way to focus, reflect, and imagine. Astrology has given me language to describe different parts of myself, how I experience the world, which lead me to acceptance of all my contradictions.
Both tarot and astrological readings provide a vehicle to bring up difficult topics much easier than what normally would appear in everyday conversation. It is my pleasure to get to the heart of a person and their pain, to utilize my skill of pattern recognition across various tools, and to provide space for the difficulty of the human condition across all its stages of development.
